On
this page whenever you visit you can check out what's new since your last
visit. It's completely empty right now because I have just finished
completely rebuilding, reorganizing and redesigning the site.
If you see any errors or have a suggestion, please
drop me an email and let me know where it is. Don't forget to say what
page it is. I really do appreciate anyone telling me if I have made an
error, even if it is grammar or spelling. When you are the one doing it, you
often see what is in your minds eye instead of what's on the paper or screen.

6-29-08 - The Documents section has been started! If you or a loved one has a document of any kind you want to share, let me know, we'd love to have it! There's a link on the page you can use to send them to me.
I finally got those blasted buttons to quit spreading themselves all over the pages.
6/24-08 - Over the past few days I have recreated many of the slideshows on the site. The slideshows in the gallery and gears area of the site are completely rebuilt using a method I designed myself. I believe it will be mush easier on the visitors to the site using this method.
General work on site navigation has continued as well as adding text links at the bottom of all main pages.
6-12-08 - I am close to having it back to where it was, if something you sent to me is not here, please email me. I have lost it
6/8/08 - I can not begin to explain how it happened but as I worked on the site last evening I managed to delete the entire thing from existence. I have never done anything link this before. I was in shock for quite some time. However, once I accepted that I did indeed loose so many things I have not yet uploaded to the server I got myself busy, downloaded the site from the server and am getting busy trying to get back to where it was when I lost it. I suspect it will take me just about the rest of the month to get it back to where it was, so if I told you to expect something in the next few days, I do apologize.
If I promise you something and it never shows up, please send me another email. It is likely I lost all mention of it when I lost the site.
6/7/08 - More tweaking of the navigation around the site. I am trying to make the site easier to navigate for folks with aging eyes.
I hate to say it but the internet is a very visual media, I can not make this site totally accessible for all handicaps. If you know someone with a specific handicap that I might be able to help with the various forms of scripting and coding available to me so that this person can enjoy the site, let me know, I will create a sister to this site with duplicate content that your acquaintance can enjoy. It can not happen overnight, it will take at least 2 weeks. I will send you an email to let you know when it is available. Some content may not be available.
6/7/08 - The reunion section of the site has had a complete makeover. It now also follows the general look of the other pages and shares a similar navigation structure.
6/5/08 - An update on the 2008 reunion!
6/3/08 - I am working on a new section for the site. It is for WWII era documents that pertain to the war in general and especially to the 808th. If you have anything you would like to see add, please let me know.
5/08 - I neglected to keep the update page updated! There were several updates to the roll call and guest book as well as more tweaking to the site.
John Fondale, Chick Hoffman and Bill Ferone all had their pictures added to the roll call.
4/9/08 - I updated the privacy policy.
Vincent added another memory. Vin has been a wealth of knowledge and memories for us. Thank you again Vincent.
A couple of entries to the guestbook have been added.
We have found another 808er! His name is Fayette McDonald. He was killed in action in Nov 1944.
4/6/08 - The sub web "Saga", the story of the 808th TD Btn has new navigation. I hope it will be easier to find what you are looking for now.
All the changes made since the first were uploaded today.
4/1/08 - I have reworked nearly every page in the site to provide a more consistent appearance.
Many minor changes have been made to the site to create a more consistent look from page to page.
Another deceased 808er family member found! His contact is in the guestbook.
3/19/08 - We've got a picture of Elsworth Mueller added to
the roll call.
I've spent some time rewording the site map and renaming some pages so
navigation will be a little bit easier in the 808 Saga
section of the site. I have been told that events were difficult or nearly
impossible to find. I hope this newer layout of links helps. The Saga
section is itself several layers deep. I've added details of the inner
layers to the main Saga page as well as to each of the main pages under it.
(I'm sorry, I just can't think of a simpler way to describe it.)
2/24/08 - We found another
808er. It turns out to have been my dads' best friend! Cal Mitchell Taylor.
I also corrected a bad link in the roll call. Check out the
roll call.
There is also a correction in the 1994/93 reunion image.
Don't forget the guestbook! We usually have at
least one addition a month.
I also added a little more info about the 2008 reunion. They aren't reservation ready yet, but it is building up to another great reunion.
1/30/08 - Updates were made to the guestbook, roll call and memories pages of the site.
1/24/08 - I spent a couple of days tweaking the site. Typos, many of which our visitors told me about, Thank You! corrected, poor spacing of content was corrected and just general tidying up the place.
Please, if you see anything that doesn't look right, let me know. If it is spacing of content, words laying on top of others or anything like that please include the type of browser and version (you can click on your browsers help button and click "about". The browser name and version will be there.) It is important for me to know this because not all browsers allow content to be viewed the same way. It is very important to me that everybody is able to view our site correctly.
I do look at the site in three different browsers and two versions of each
of those but there are many more available for use. If I know which others
our visitors are using, I will check the site in those browsers. Thank you

1/13/08 - There
have been many updates over the past couple of weeks since the new site was
put online. Last evening I added a newly found 808er! Arthur Leroy Opdahl is now
in the roll call with his picture! Thank you son-in-law David for bringing
Arthur back to us.
I have found quite a few
typos, if you see any that I have missed, please drop me a note with page
name so I can correct. Thank you very much for your help.
12/31/07
Correction were made to Gear Used by the 808 and it's
slideshows. The second slideshow was added to that same page.
