We
have pictures of the types of medals awarded to 808 tank destroyer soldiers
during WWII in the European Theater of Operations as well as images of the
many monuments erected to honor Tank Destroyers of WWII. The 808 has also
received many awards given by mayors of towns; some cities have had an 808
Tank Destroyer Day other mayors have awarded the Key to The City to the
808ers, President G. W. Bush also presented the 808 with an award in
appreciation of their time in the ETO. We have 3 slide shows to allow you to view the many items available. This is not a complete compilation, but it is as close as I have been able to get. If you are aware of something not shown in one of the slideshows, please email me.
